Eat at least 200 grams of fruit daily
Fruit
Fruit is delicious, sweet, fresh, and juicy. Enjoy it every day!
Examples of fruit: apple, pear, mandarin, kiwi, orange, banana, strawberry, peach, plum, apricot.
Healthy
Fruit is packed with vitamins, minerals and fibre that make our bodies work properly. Vitamin A, for instance, is important for our eyes and skin. Vitamin C is important for a good resistance. Fruit also contains fibre, which ensures good digestion, feeling satiated and stable blood sugar levels.
Note!
When fruit is processed into juice, such as orange juice, apple juice or a smoothie, it loses many good properties and satiates much less. This has everything to do with the ‘ease’ with which you drink something. This is because you don’t have to chew it. Fruit juice therefore even falls under sugary drinks! You are therefore much better off eating fruit than drinking fruit.
Tip
Eat fruit that is in season. These have the fullest flavour and are the cheapest at the time.
How much fruit fo you need?
