Try to alternate sitting, standing and moving every day as much as possible

Prevent too much sitting

We all sit regularly: in the car, while working, but also in our spare time when we read, do puzzles or go to the cinema. The average person in the UK sits for about 9 hours a day, which is not very healthy!

Healthy

By making a healthy mix of sitting, standing and moving every day, you lower your risk of developing cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes and premature death. Last but not least, you feel much better physically and mentally if you don’t sit still too often in a day!

    Tip!

Have you ever thought about making exercise switches? For example, instead of just sitting and watching television, get up and walk around for a moment during commercials or do exercises.
