Sugary drinks are not healthy. Instead, choose a drink without sugar.

Health disadvantages 

Sugary drinks, such as soft drinks, energy drinks, fruit juices, vegetable juices, smoothies, and tea and coffee with sugar, can have negative effects on your health. They contain calories, few nutrients, and provide little satiety.

For example, a 330 ml can of soda provides 140 calories, which are a lot of calories that you consume unnoticed. As a result, consuming sugary drinks increases the likelihood of obesity. The high amount of sugar in these beverages also increases the risk of heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and is harmful to your teeth.

Be aware!

Sugary drinks also include fruit juices and smoothies. Drinking fruit juice is much less filling than eating fruit. This is because you don’t have to chew it, and it contains fewer fibers. Therefore, it’s better to eat fruit than to drink it.

Fruit juices, sodas, and vegetable juices are harmful for your teeth. Milk, buttermilk, yogurt, and soy milk are not bad for your teeth which makes them better alternatives.

How much should you drink in a day?

You need 1.5 to 2 liters of fluid per day. That’s 8 to 10 glasses per day. You may need more fluid when sweating a lot or in hot weather.
