What makes a good diet?

 

Eat at least 200 grams of vegetables daily

Eat at least 200 grams of fruit daily

Eat at least 90 grams of brown bread, wholegrain bread or other wholegrain products daily

Eat legumes weekly

Eat at least 15 grams of unsalted nuts per day

Have a few servings of dairy per day, including milk or yoghurt

Eat fish once a week, preferably fatty fish

Replace butter, hard margarine and cooking fats with soft margarine, liquid cooking fat and plant-based oils

Limit consumption of red meat and especially processed meat

Drink as few sugary drinks as possible

Do not drink alcohol or at least no more than one glass a day

Provide healthy snacks between main meals
